Rejected petition DWP: Revise the PIP Mobility - It should be on a graded scale like daily living

It’s not as simple as one yes/no question as to whether you can walk 200metres as to if you qualify for a mobility pip payment, it should be a graded points scale just like it is in the daily living section of PIP.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The PIP assessment criteria for mobility activities already has a number of different descriptors for people with different levels of mobility. You can read the PIP assessment criteria here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteria

We could accept a petition calling for the PIP assessment criteria to be changed, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to be made.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
