Closed Require 20mph speed limits around schools and nurseries for collection/drop off

We want the Government to require local authorities reduce the speed limit to 20mph on roads around schools and nurseries in England during collection and drop off times, to increase the safety of our children.

A speed limit reduction from 30mph to 20mph around schools and nurseries should help reduce serious injuries to children.

Wales is the first nation in the world to adopt a 20mph default speed limit on residential streets and the new legislation will come into effect in 2023. England should adopt a similar approach around schools and nurseries.
