Rejected petition Put muslim teacher in prison for abusing girl
More details
An Islamic teacher who repeatedly molested a terrified girl of 11 as he taught her the Koran has escaped a jail sentence because his wife’s English is so bad.
Suleman Maknojioa, 40, repeatedly rubbed the youngster’s leg and reached under the folds of her prayer headscarf to touch her chest.
This petition has been set up in response to the judgement that was handed down to Mr Maknojioa after he has been found guilty go abusing the 11 year old girl.
The judgement should be revised and should be in accordance to paedophilia sentences.
Please sign this petition to get this subject rectified in the parliament.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
Sentences that appear to be unduly lenient cannot be referred through the E-Petitions website. If you believe a sentence given in a Crown Court appears to be very low, or unduly lenient, anyone can contact the Attorney General's office asking for the sentence to be reviewed as long as it is within 28 days of sentencing. It also only takes one person to make such a request.
In the case of Suleman Maknojioa the Attorney General’s Office has already requested the papers from the Crown Prosecution so one of the Law Officers can decide whether or not to refer the sentences to Court of Appeal as being unduly lenient.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
