We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee
Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Do not count employer funded private health insurance as a taxable benefit.
Right now, employer funded private health insurance premiums are taxed at employee marginal tax rates as a benefit in kind. This tax to the employee should be eliminated. Many people reject the private health insurance because of this large cost burden.

This will enable more people to use the private health system and reduce the strain on public services.
