Provide simple ice rescue equipment at all likely locations of bodies of water which are known to or likely to freeze during winter. These locations and equipment should be paired with existing installations of open water rescue equipment.

Every year tragedies occur in lakes , ponds and rivers , which have frozen and become serious dangers to the public , especially children. Simple ice sledges , Ice rope drums , and means to break ice should be standard life safety rescue equipment throughout the UK in tandem with existing life saving eqipment, in all areas likely to attract danger to children. It is a basic protective and preventative measure on a National scale for nominal cost.
