Closed Change the VAT legislation applicable to the supply of accountancy services.

The supply of accountancy services should be classed as exempt or 0% for VAT purposes.

There should be incentive and reason for UK business owners to view the need to use professional organisations for accounting and tax affairs as a necessity. Due to accountants’ unique position, they are able to make a positive contribution to the UK economy through their work by mitigating the opportunity and cost of corruption and fraud within UK businesses.
