SRECs allow individuals and businesses to make conscious choices for clean energy & be an active participant in the transition to a more sustainable energy.

This could also support job creation from installation and maintenance, to support local economics.

The mix of renewables could help increase energy security, reduce energy grid dependency, reduce the carbon footprint. SRECs provide a financial incentive for individuals and businesses by providing them with a certificate for each unit of energy they generate.
