There are huge delays in processing visa applications, and applicants are often left in the dark without knowing the status of their application. There is no online mechanism for checking the visa status, and the response rate to queries is slow and often does not provide useful information.

It is unfair to leave applicants knowing nothing about their applications, especially if they apply from inside the UK and cannot leave the country before a decision is made. This uncertainty causes much anxiety and impacts the well-being of applicants and their families. The Government charges huge fees for processing visas, and there is no excuse not to introduce such tracking mechanisms. People need to know their status, so they plan their life and activities.
