Closed petition Ban certain sexual offenders from prison visitor areas when under 18s present

Inmates who have been convicted of serious sexual offenses against children, or rape, should not be in the same room as children visiting those convicted of other crimes. How can you allow these children to sit in the same visiting room as convicted child sex offenders. Something needs to be done.

More details

I believe it is unfair on those with children serving sentences for far less serious crimes (E.g. Fraud, Petty theft) to have to sit and visit their young family members when a convicted child sex offender can be sat on the table beside them. Those convicted of child sex offenses should have their own days/hours for visiting and shouldn’t be in the same room as anyone under 18.
