Set an MPs annual wage to the average for the constituency that they represent.
More details
As of April 2022, the basic annual salary of a Member Of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons is £84,144. This is far above the national average of £27,756- as a result, MPs are vastly out of touch with the people they represent and as a result makes them unqualified to make decisions about personal finance in the current cost of living crisis.
We believe that this new adjusted wage will incentivise MPs to improve the economic potential of the people they represent, providing a net benefit.
