Closed Increase maximum MOT test fees for cars to £85

The maximum MOT test fee has not increased since April 2010. Sign this petition to support an increase to £85.

Support an increase now to enable MOT providers to charge a reasonable amount for MOTs, especially with the already struggling economy.

The costs of operating an MOT bay have of course increased, but the maximum fee we can charge has not kept pace. A recent Government consultation suggested that if the maximum MOT fee had risen in line with inflation it would now be £73.50.

We need an appropriate fee in order to allow appropriate time to conduct this important road safety task.
