Closed petition Allow single parents to change a child's name without the other parent's consent
To allow single parents to change their child’s surname without the other parent's permission, without having to go through the court procedure, even if the other parent is listed on the birth certificate. This is particularly important especially where domestic violence and abuse has occurred.
