We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Make it completely illegal to trap, harm or kill foxes

Foxes should be protected from all harm. Currently it is legally to use cage traps and snares to catch foxes, to shoot foxes, and to use dogs to stalk or flush out foxes. Badgers are protected from all of these activities and this should be the same for foxes.

More details

Foxes are beautiful animals with their own families and deserve to be alive just like every one else. For badgers, it is an offence to:

- intentionally capture, kill or injure a badger
- damage, destroy or block access to their setts
- disturb badgers in setts
- treat a badger cruelly
- deliberately send or intentionally allow a dog into a sett
- bait or dig for badgers

We want the same rules in place for foxes.
