Closed Lift all sanctions on Syria after the devastating Earthquake

Syria is subject to sanctions from the UK government, as well as those imposed by the EU and US. We want these sanctions lifted in the wake of the devastating Earthquake that has hit the region on Monday 6th Feb 2023.

In the wake of one of the strongest Earthquakes in modern history thousands have been killed, with many more injured and still under rubble.
International organisations and governments cannot assist Syria with the same response felt in places like Turkey, due to the current sanctions imposed by the UK and US governments as well as EU.

We call for these sanctions to be removed immediately to aid in the recovery process after this devastating incident.

The preservation of Human life and the recovery after such incidents should take priority.
