Closed petition Introduce mandatory 30-year sentences for murderers, including 13-17 year olds

Premeditated murder should be minimum sentence of 30 years regardless of the perpetrator's age.

Currently the starting point for sentencing for murders is 15 to 30 years for over 18s, but 12 years for under 18s.

We need more serious consequences to make younger generations see the damage they do to families and communities.
