Closed Make Menopause a Protected Characteristic in UK law

We want the Government to add Menopause to the list of Protected Characteristics in law. This should help ensure women experiencing the menopause and its associated symptoms are not discriminated against, especially at work.

To protect women going through the menopause from unfair treatment at work. How many women endure workplace pressure and bullying in all its subtle forms while menopausal?

This is a particular issue now more women are in the workplace, including in senior and stressful jobs.
