We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition There should be equal Voting ID requirements across all age groups.

We want to increase the acceptable forms of Voting ID for those under the age of 25, so that there is parity among different age groups. For example, a Freedom Pass is an acceptable form of ID, whereas a Young Person's Bus Pass is not. We want Young Person's Bus Passes to be accepted as ID.

More details

Youth turnout is the lowest of all age groups. By providing more acceptable methods of Voter ID for young people, this will reduce the prohibitive effect of not having the correct Voter ID on election day. We would like the Government to reconsider the acceptable forms of Voter ID for people aged 18-24 years old.
