Local authorities are adding an additional charge above that prescribed by law for the provision of copy Birth, death and Marriage cerificates. This in not allowed by part 8, section 93 subsections 1, and 1a of the Local Government Act 2003. Yet they ignore this law, so it should be made a criminal offence to breach this law.
