Closed Abolish powers to create Business Improvement Districts

A Business Improvement District (BID) is a defined area within which Businesses are forced to pay an additional TAX /LEVY. Traders have little or no control how this money collected by Councils on top of Business Tax is spent. Legislation enabling the creation of these districts should be abolished.

Business Pay so much of the bills where there is very limited space to make profit. We believe the levies for Business Improvement Districts are an unacceptable additional burden, which do not bring sufficient benefits to local businesses.
