Closed petition Allergy law should require PAL, cosmetic labeling and clear cosmetic ingredients
Closed on
I want the current laws updated or a new law that contains:
Precautionary allergen labelling (eg. May contain...) on ALL products, food and non-food
Cosmetics, toiletries etc. must follow the same allergen laws as food
Cosmetics must not only use Latin names etc. but also the common names
I believe these changes to the law will save lives.
Precautionary allergen labelling (eg. May contain...) is not currently required on products, it needs to be legally required on ALL products, food & non-food, & toiletries, cosmetics etc
Secondly, cosmetics, toiletries etc. don't have to declare the 14 major allergens that food products do, this needs to change.
Finally, cosmetic products need to include the common name of a product, not just the Latin name (eg Arachis hypogaea aka Peanuts)
