Rejected petition Abolish the current (BBC) TV license requirement

The TV licensing model is outdated and forces people to pay for a service (BBC) that they do not support or want.

This petition asks that the current TV license is abolished with immediate effect or in the very near future. The BBC should compete for subscribers like any other TV network/service.

Remove the legal requirement for a TV license and, in turn, help hardworking people by removing what is effectively a stealth tax.

There is no need to wait until 2027 to make this change.
