Rejected petition Allow I and Z to be used on dateless license plates.
The DVLA should change the rule to allow drivers to use the letters I and Z to be used on dateless license plates.
More details
There are many people who want to purchase plates with the letters I and Z on dateless plates but are restricted because police cant identify certain things that are completely irrelevant. They can clearly read the license plate and can match it on record to any information that they need. It is not necessary to restrict those letters due to location reasons. It is useless as its a clearly visible license plate.
