Closed petition Grant All Sentient Animals the Basic Right to Life
Closed on
Just because we’re smarter than most animals doesn’t give us the right to kill them for sport, food, clothing, pest control, testing or for any other unjust reason.
When an animal, such as a dog, kills a human, it makes the news. But we kill BILLIONS of them and it goes largely unreported.
We demand that all sentient nonhuman animals be granted the right to live. The only situations in which it should remain legal to kill an animal are:
* In self-defence, where there is no other viable option to ensure survival.
* When there are no other food options available for the survival of humans.
* When an animal needs to be euthanised.
We are asking for all unnecessary killing of animals for meat, sport, pest control, clothing, testing and all other unnecessary reasons to be banned.
