Closed Create a statutory behaviour and discipline policy that applies to all schools

Schools have significant discretion about what to include in behaviour policies, and how to discipline students. We believe this has allowed some schools to implement barbaric policies that are detrimental to students. We believe there should be a single statutory behaviour and discipline policy.

If the Government introduces a statutory behaviour and discipline policy that applies to all schools, this could set out clearly what actions are appropriate, which should improve things for students and schools.
