Closed 5-year prison sentences and communications restrictions for child sex offenders

I want a minimum custodial sentence of at least 5 years for any sexual offence toward a child, with lifelong restrictions on communicating with children, and mandatory higher sentences for repeat offenders.

I believe too many child sex offenders receive non-custodial sentences, and are not subject to restrictions that could help prevent reoffending.

I want stricter sentences to be set out in law, and mandatory lifelong restrictions on communicating with children, to help prevent reoffending.
