As a year group we have been looking forward to prom since 2018 and are now being told certain students aren’t allowed to attend which is singling students out from friends and ruining the event for others. I understand there needs to be a criteria for certain events such as graduation, to celebrate the pupils that have put in extra effort. Prom should be a way for students to celebrate completing school which has now ended, sitting many exams which we’ve all tried hard for and to say goodbye.
