With the switch off of public switched telephone networks in 2025, many internet providers have started to provide internet-powered phone lines with internet supplies. This is great, but use of these internet phone systems is often restricted to only work when used via the provider's router/modem.

The Government should enforce internet providers to provide the required information so a user, if they wish, can source their own internet to analog telephone adaptor allowing them to use a third-party router if they desire.
