We want the Government to legislate to create harsher punishments on criminals who steal trades people’s tools, by making tool theft a specific criminal offence with tougher penalties.

Thousands of pounds worth of tools are stolen from trades people every day. All too often the police take little or no action. The number of thefts is increasing and whilst doing so, the number of trades people who are at risk of losing their livelihoods also increases. This is unfair! Trades people are losing not only their tools but also their jobs and income because of this. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!
