To consider drafting legislation that prevents the sale of bottled water in all UK retail supermarkets to the consumer and any other retailer including restaurants, cafes etc.

To eliminate the 7.7 billion single use plastic water bottles a year in the UK - (source: water.org.uk) when we have the availability of potable tap water to all UK citizens.
To reduce carbon emissions by preventing an estimated 15 million bottles being littered, landfilled or incinerated every day. This is believed to produce up to 233,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year.
To encourage people to choose potable tap water instead.
