Closed Take action to encourage men to go into nursing

We want the Government to fund scholarships and grants to encourage male students to get into a career in nursing.

The Government should also fund a campaign featuring male nurses to encourage men to consider a career in nursing.

As the UK is becoming more diverse, a lot of people from different religions and cultural backgrounds prefer to be seen by medical professionals of the same gender.

Unfortunately in UK, there are lack of male nurses, which means it can be difficult for male patients to be seen by a male nurse.

Having more male nurses would make the nursing workforce more representative of the wider population, and should make it easier for male patients to be seen by a male nurse.
