It is time to reassess the traditional work schedule of 5 work days a week. We propose a shift to a 4-day work week, where employees would work up to 10 hours per day. This change could improve work-life balance and provide numerous benefits to employees and employers alike.
Adopting a 4-day work week allows for enhanced work-life balance, providing an extra day off for personal commitments, family time, and pursuing interests. A 4-day work week should also commute time, lessens traffic congestion, and contributes to a greener environment. Longer weekends can improve employee wellbeing, reducing stress and enhancing mental health.
