We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Make rabbit breeding illegal in England

For the past few years it has been clear that the rabbits are one of the most abused and neglected animals in many parts of the world. While we cannot change policies for other countries, I'd like to request the Government ban rabbit breeding to help prevent suffering to rabbits.

More details

We believe banning rabbit breeding would improve the living quality of thousands of rabbits, and also prevent rabbits from being bred only to be sent to sanctuaries and foster homes when they're abandoned by their owners. Rabbits often don't have the same quality of life compared to other pets, with many locked up in tiny hutches. Too many rabbit owners ignore the given guidelines regarding space rabbits require which means health conditions develop.
