Rejected petition Exemption for clean air charges

I want you to stop the change for clean air zones for families who have a child with a serious illness that requires them to be in hospital

More details

Been in hospital costs so much money and adding this extra charge to travel to the hospital is added stress that families shouldn’t have to deal with. Having a child with cancer or a serious illness means you could be at the hospital 3-4 times a week for months, I would like you to exempt theses families from paying clean air charges

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Decisions about clean air zones and who can be exempt from the charges are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors

You could also raise your issue by contacting the local council who are responsible for implementing the clean air zone.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
