Closed Reduce fuel duty/VAT on petrol & diesel

We request that either fuel duty and/or VAT on fuel be reduced. Fuel duty is currently levied at a flat rate of 52.95p per litre for both petrol and diesel. VAT at 20% is then charged on both the product price and the duty.

Any reduction would help to reduce costs for families and business allowing the savings to be passed on to the end consumer.

Reduction in fuel costs could help to reduce prices in all sectors of life. We think there is not a single person in this country who is not affected in some way by the high cost of fuel.
