Rejected petition The London ULEZ system should email registered users if they are to be charged.

The new London ULEZ scheme is capable of automatically billing users. It would be very useful if the system could also email registered users if they've been inside the ULEZ and need to pay. This way, users who very infrequently visit London don't need to maintain a balance on the system.

More details

Adding simple functionality to the system as described above will streamline it's use and help people avoid costly and unintentional fines.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about the payment arrangements for ULEZ are a matter for TFL, not the UK Government or Parliament.

Transport for London already have an option to set up Autopay for ULEZ charges on their website:
https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/auto-pay

If you would like any changes to this scheme you could petition the London Assembly:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
