Closed petition Introduce fines and stop and search powers for wearing a balaclava in public

We don't believe there is a valid reason to wear a balaclava in a public place. We want the Government to give the police powers to stop and search anyone wearing a balaclava, confiscate it and issue a £1000 fine.

We think that youth crime is totally out of hand. There are muggings, robberies and aggravated theft of cycles, motorcycles and cars. We think this is a nation-wide problem.
