Rejected petition Change the age of consent to 18.

In light of recent events, I believe the age of consent should be increased to 18 to protect teenagers from being groomed and SA. An adult should not be taking advantage of vulnerable 16 year olds to get their own way.

I believe 18 should be the age of consent, to bring us in line with other western countries. It would be easier to protect vulnerable youths from being exploited and abused, and easier to hold abusers accountable for their actions.
