Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Free prescriptions for people who cannot afford it on low incomes

People who have a low annual income and have severe medical conditions should be given free medication (if it is required to help their health improve). There should be a set income to give people this opportunity, for example people who earn below £25,000 annually should be eligible.

More details

People who are aged 18-60 can have a severe medical condition and not be able to get free prescriptions as they are currently not eligible due to their age.
