Cat collars with normal ‘belt-buckle’ fastenings are elasticised and sold as safe, but frequently cats get their legs caught in them and can be seriously injured. When a cat wearing a safe, quick release fastening collar this will not happen.

Both types of collars are similar prices, only one is safe.

By introducing this ban, many cats will be spared much unnecessary suffering.
