There are thousands of motorists who have the annual event of spending money during the MOT to unscrupulous car garages who fail their cars during MOT even when there is no failure, just to rip off the cars owners/customers on repairs and parts which they don't need.

To stop this practice people who check cars for MOT shouldn't be in the business of reparing cars and vice versa as this is a serious conflict of interest.

* Ban car garages from doing MOT
* MOT centers should only be doing tests and no repairs and also shouldn't promote any garages for repairs
