Petition Increase the statutory minimum wage for HGV drivers

We believe HGV drivers are often underpaid, and that the Government should increase the statutory minimum wage for HGV drivers to ensure they receive a fair wage.

Very few companies pay extra for working weekends, Bank Holidays or even Christmas which in other sectors workers might get time and half or even double time for. A higher statutory minimum wage for HGV drivers would help make up for this.
