Closed Seek to join the Schengen Zone

The UK Government should apply to join the Schengen Zone to allow free travel and residence for UK / EU citizens. Switzerland has done this, they don’t have a common currency and have their own rules - why can’t we do the same?

The new Electronic VISA system that is being implemented in Schengen should make the region much more secure and will allow for free movement for work and vacation. UK homeowners in the EU would be able to use their homes more easily and workers could travel and work freely.
