Closed Require employers report and investigate near misses

I want the Government to make it compulsory for employers to report near misses, and investigate these, as currently this is not a legal requirement. We believe this is a gap, and should be redressed.

Near miss reporting is currently not mandatory. HSE guidance advises and supports employers to record near misses, but we believe there should be mandatory reporting of near misses, and investigations, to better enable proactive risk mitigation that could reduce risk and support businesses.
