Closed Ensure level boarding between train and platform for new platforms/trains

To mandate all future or reformed platforms have a platform height of 1,115mm, and re trains have a floor height of 1,115mm. To improve safety for everyone and help reduce dwelling time by removing the vertical gap between train and platform.

Level boarding makes the railway more accessible to everyone by removing the need for a member of staff to assist disabled passengers who need help with getting on and off the train. Level boarding should also help reduce the dwell time by removing the step up between train and platform. Level Boarding could also help reduce the risk of the platform and train interface.
