Rejected petition Abolish taxes on all period products

I would like the Government to get rid of tax on all period related products and ensure that this applies to all products regardless of type.

More details

In the Autumn Statement, Jeremy Hunt announced the abolishment of tax on period pants. Whilst this is a step in the right direction, it is not enough. The majority of individuals who require period products use pads and tampons, both not considered in the Autumn Statement. People who have periods should not be taxed on basic amenities they need to live their life.

The tax on women's sanitary products (excluding period pants) was abolished in 2021. You can read more information about this here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/tampon-tax-abolished-from-today
