Reduce the fee for filing a divorce with HMCTS from £593 to £493 to reflect the decrease in work required to process a divorce following digitisation.
The Government is proposing to raise court fees by an average 10% which includes fees on divorce applications from £593 to £652. The service has now been digitised. Therefore, the amount of work required to process a divorce has drastically reduced. People going through relationship breakdown should not be subsiding the rest of the court system.
