Closed Require those pulling out of property transactions to cover other party's costs

Make house buyers/sellers liable for covering costs incurred (in part or in full) to the other party, when pulling out of a property transaction.

In the last 6 months we have had 2 buyers pull out of buying our property. With solicitors fees and surveys we have lost around £4,000. We've also lost our dream home and been put through unnecessary emotional stress.

This happens to people every day in England and there is nothing to deter it. Some kind of financial compensation to the other party needs to be put in place.
