I request that the UK government allows asylum seekers to engage in shortage occupation jobs without any wait. This modification could help enable asylum seekers to contribute to the workforce and integrate more swiftly into society.

Currently the Home Office may only grant permission to work to asylum seekers whose claim has been outstanding for more than 12 months through no fault of their own.

We believe granting asylum seekers the opportunity to work in shortage occupation jobs without any wait is crucial, and would provide individuals seeking asylum with a means to support themselves financially, helping to foster self-sufficiency and reduce reliance on public support.
