The Government needs to stop classing student maintenance loan as income when determining entitlement to Universal Credit.

The DWP deduct exactly the amount of student maintenance loan from UC entitlement. I think this is WRONG! The maintenance loan has to be paid back from future income so SHOULD NOT be classed as income! I think having it deducted from benefit entitlement is basically like having to pay it back twice!
