Closed Require medical training and regulation of everyone offering ear wax removal

We want the UK government to introduce legislation to ensure that anyone carrying out ear wax removal must be medically trained, and regulated. Currently, anyone who is not a medical professional can carry out ear wax removal without having to register with the CQC.

Since some NHS trusts reduced the provision of ear wax removal services, we are concerned there are more instances of this being done in the private sector by untrained professionals, which we believe creates unacceptable risks. We wish to make it illegal to for people to perform procedures with no medical or relevant healthcare qualifications, and without being registered with the regulator.
